In winter, only one step in front of the hotel and you are directly on the slopes of the biggest ski area in Austria, Lech Zürs, with the hotel nestled in between the kids’ ski school and the children’s slope. In summer, idyllic hiking paths and exciting mountain bike trails lead past the Sonnenburg.
Our family hotel in Lech, Austria, has two buildings only a few metres apart: the 5-star Hotel Stammhaus Sonnenburg and the 4-star superior Hotel Landhaus Sonnenburg. They are connected via a short underground passageway for easy and weatherproof access.

The Sonnenburg owes its special charm to its central location at the heart of Oberlech in Vorarlberg: You reach the mountain cableway Lech-Oberlech in under one minute, which regularly takes you from the Hotel down into the valley to Lech am Arlberg. Holidaymakers only have to take a few more steps to go up again – the mountain cableway Petersbodenbahn comfortably takes you to the Petersboden at a height of 1,915 metres all year round.
